FREquently ASKED QUESTIONS

QUESTION:

Can we get the raw footage?

ANSWER:

Of course! The ‘FOMO’ add-on gives you all the raw footage from your wedding day. Any shaky shots and duplicate shots will be removed.

QUESTION:

Do you offer films longer than the highlight film?

ANSWER:

Sure do! If you feel like your story needs more than 5 minutes to be told, you can extend your film to 8+ minutes or 15+ minutes. This allows for more speeches, vows, moments, details and emotion to be added to give your film a deeper story.

QUESTION:

I don’t know how many hours of coverage I need, What do you suggest?

ANSWER:

10 hours is generally what you need for a wedding day and between 3-4 for an elopement. However, if you are having a special exit planned, wanted more shots of you and your partner getting ready or have an epic location in mind for your film that would take some time to hike to then you can always add on those hours accordingly.

QUESTION:

Do we pick the music?

ANSWER:

No and for a few reasons. First being, the pacing and mood of your day. Your wedding film requires a music piece that will reflect the mood of your day and have the right pacing that aligns with your story. This piece also needs to have build and an arc and often the songs we listen to lack these elements.

Second reason is licensing. I license all my music through a licensing platform for filmmakers so that I can create your film legally and with permission from the artist. This also enables you to share your film with family and friends with ease!  But why not license mainstream music? Licensing mainstream music can cost in the thousands, if not tens of thousands, as well as this, you don’t want to look back on your wedding film in years to come and have it dated by a 2019 Ed Sheeran song.

And lastly, nostalgia. Your brain will create a strong connect between the music you hear and the emotion you feel when hearing that piece of music. Chances are the first time you watch your wedding film will be the first time you hear that particular piece of music. This means that any time you hear that piece again you’ll feel that same feeling you felt the first time you watched your film and the feelings you experienced on your wedding day. Now how incredible is that?!

QUESTION:

Do we need a second Videographer?

ANSWER:

Yes! I have a second shooter with me for both weddings and elopements. We can all only be at one place at one time and for this reason I bring a second videographer to your wedding so that no moments are missed!

Won’t this be intrusive? Absolutely not, we’re there to capture your day the way you’ve imagined it to happen and this generally works best when you don’t even know we’re there. Plus, when you and your partner forget we’re there, that’s when some of the best shots are taken.

QUESTION:

Do you travel?

ANSWER:

At any given opportunity! No matter where your wedding or elopement may be I’ll be there! Depending on where your wedding is travel fees may apply, but we can chat about that on our call.

QUESTION:

Can we add to our package after we book you and/or after our wedding?

ANSWER:

You sure can! Add-ons such as a ceremony edit or toasts edit can be added to your package even after your wedding day is over. Your ceremony and toasts will all be recorded in their entirety so that you have this option.

QUESTION:

DO you pose and direct us? Or are you more documentary style?

ANSWER:

Little bit of both. There are parts of the day where simply documenting moments as they happen looks the best, especially when they’re unplanned moments. Throughout your bridals however, I will give you certain prompts and direction to help you and your partner feel more relaxed and comfortable in front of the camera and to ensure you both have the time of your lives in the process!

QUESTION:

Do you do photos as well?

ANSWER:

No, but depending on your vibe and style I can recommend a bunch of amazing photographers to you!

QUESTION:

How well do you work with photographers?

ANSWER:

Like a house on fire! Some of my closest friends are photographers and I’m always excited to meet new ones as well! I like to work side-by-side with your photographer to ensure we’re both getting what we need, to bounce ideas off each other and to ensure you and your partner are having the best time.
